                          Our Mission

The primary goal of the chapter is to advocate, educate, and support the hard of hearing community of greater Sacramento and surrounding communities in their life-long effort to establish and maintain an effective, highly-visible presence within the Sacramento area. This means a consistent chapter commitment to establish a high-quality way of life for all hard of hearing citizens in our community.

  The Chapter

The chapter is the local site for the only national non-profit organization devoted entirely to the needs of the hard-of-hearing people in the Sacramento County area. The acronym "SHHL" stands for "Self-Help for Hearing Loss". The chapter has monthly meetings held the second Saturday (except for July & August )at the Nor Cal Center for Deafness and Hard of Hearing, which is located at 4508 Roseville Road in North Highlands, CA. It is located just on Myrtle Avenue off of Watts Avenue( behind the new Cargo Largo discount superstore )just beyond the Interstate 80 freeway going to Reno, NV.  Our chapter motto is:

"We're hear to serve you"
